Frequently Asked Questions
Our E-bike route is part of an official State of Oregon bike route crossing the National Scenic Area. We chose a slow going section that is shared with cars because it’s the most beautiful section with far more waterfalls and wilderness than any other. After serving over 10,000 customers in the last 4 years the reviews are in and they’re 5/5. If you arrive and aren’t comfortable with the route we have alternatives available with our sister company waterfallshuttle.com and are also happy to offer a refund.
We love to! We can accommodate groups up to 50 at our Multnomah Falls location and we have the ability to transport up to 28 guests and bikes to any ebike destination in the state such as the coast for ebiking on the beach or willamette for an ebike wine experience. Call/text or email us for info.
The Columbia River Gorge near Multnomah Falls. We transport bikes to various meeting points throughout the Gorge to give guests the best access to this protected area.
Participants must be over 16 years old and able to walk a couple of miles. The electric bikes makes riding effortless and it’s a safe route despite being shared with cars.
Self Guided – We provide maps, show you how to use the bike, and you ride the route. It’s easy and you’ll have the cell number of your host who is there to help should you need anything.
If rain is likely on your booking we will call a couple days prior and attempt to reschedule to a time that works for you. If we’re unable to reschedule and the tour is cancelled we will offer a refund. Guests can cancel with 24 hours notice for a full refund.
In the heat visiting waterfalls is one of the best ways to cool off and enjoy a warm summer day.
Once you have booked your Multnomah Falls E-bike Adventure we will send you a link to our digital guide in the confirmation email. The digital guide is a scrollable page that takes you from start to finish along your e-bike route. It outlines each suggested stop and the distances and time it should take you to travel from waterfall to waterfall.
You will need to have your cellphone with you to use the digital guide while you are out on your bike ride. Please let us know in advance if you need a printed copy.
Most of our customers drive with a rental car.
If you don’t have a car here’s what to do:
- Be aware that if you uber out you’ll have to take the bus back to Portland. The schedule is here and it’s a direct, easy, safe route.
- If you want to use Transit make sure and get a morning ebike reservation as the shuttle that takes you to the bus stops running at 4pm.
- We have a shuttle that operates Thursday – Monday and will transport you to and from the bus stop. Works for morning bookings only. Call us for more info.
Pedaling is light, the bike’s power is equivalent to two professional cyclists. It’s only exercise if you want it to be. The hikes are optional.
The route is a Scenic Byway, an official State of Oregon bike route shared with cars. Use hand signals for safety and wear the helmet provided. On our Google profile this question has been asked and our customers have replied with the sentiment that there was much less traffic than expected, they felt safe, and drivers were courteous. This is not your typical highway, it’s more like a scenic drive through a National Park.
In 2 hours you can see some of the falls. If you want time to see it all and do some short hikes do a half day. Stop and eat a picnic or enjoy the Multnomah falls restaurant and book for a full day.
Depending on the length of your rental a water bottle or some snacks can be a nice thing to bring. Comfortable clothes suitable for biking in the weather are a must. Bring a swimsuit if you want to go in.
